Grade I winner Sky Mesa   came up with his first winner when his son Twenty Eight Hours won April 26 at Keeneland in his initial start. Bred by The Answer, Twenty Eight Hours won the 4 1/2-furlong race in :51.08 for Cobra Farm. He is out of the Clever Trick mare Game Trick.

Winner of the Hopeful Stakes (gr. I), Sky Mesa (Pulpit  --Caress, by Storm Cat) stands for $30,000 at Robert N. Clay's Three Chimneys Farm near Midway, Ky.
