Ashado's First Foal is a Storm Cat Colt

Two-time champion Ashado, who sold for a world record $9 million, produced her first foal, a Storm Cat colt, March 18. She is owned by Sheikh Mohammed's Darley and produced the Kentucky-bred colt for Darley Stud Management.

Ashado, by Saint Ballado, established a world record price for a broodmare or broodmare prospect when bought for $9 million by John Ferguson Bloodstock for Sheikh Mohammed at the 2005 Keeneland November breeding stock sale. Taylor Made Sales Agency consigned as agent.

Ashado's dam, Goulash (by Mari's Book), produced a half-brother to Ashado March 21. The newborn colt is by Storm Cat.
