(from Keeneland notes)
Illinois Derby (gr. II) winner Cowtown Cat, one of trainer Todd Pletcher’s horses currently being pointed toward the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I), worked at Keeneland on the Polytrack surface Saturday. The

Cowtown Cat’s work was the third fastest of 33 timed at that distance. Stablemates Cotton Blossom and Octave each worked five furlongs in :58 for the fastest times of the day.
Pletcher’s other Kentucky Derby contenders –
Any Given Saturday,
Circular Quay and
Scat Daddy – are scheduled to work at Keeneland on Sunday. Another of Pletcher’s Derby candidates, Sam P., is stabled at Churchill Downs.
