The agreement by Irish-based Coolmore Stud to purchase the breeding rights in unbeaten 3-year-old E Z Warrior from Ahmed Zayat's Zayat Stables has fallen through.

"There was a detail we couldn't agree upon," said Sobhy Sonbol of Zayat Stables. "We still have good relations with Coolmore and have horses with them."

Sonbol added the success of E Z Warrior is of paramount concern. "We're tied in to the whole family," he said. "We own his dam, Carson Jen (by Carson City), and her 2-year-old daughter (J Z Warrior) by Harlan's Holiday, and her yearling colt (B Z Warrior) by Malibu Moon  . Carson Jen is ready to foal any day from the cover of Dixie Union and is booked to Bernardini."

Trained by Bob Baffert, E Z Warrior has won three races, including last year's Hollywood Juvenile Championship Stakes (gr. III) and the Jan. 7 San Miguel Stakes, both at six furlongs. Sonbol plans to limit the son of Exploit to races between six furlongs and a mile.
