Because of heavy rain and strong, variable wind, racing was cancelled at Aqueduct Race Track Thursday, April 12, at approximately 1:48 p.m. with seven minutes to post for race 3.

Jockey Alan Garcia won both ends of the early $2 daily double worth $39.20 with Roxanne’s Dancer ($8.60) in the first and Gift of Valor ($14.40) in the second over a sloppy/sealed track.

Aqueduct remained open for simulcasting, and offered patrons a three-part rain check until 3 p.m. good for free admission, free parking and free program. There was free admission after 3 p.m.

Racing will resume at Aqueduct on Friday, April 13 with first-race post at 1 p.m.
