A Van Nistlerooy -- Miss Malley filly named Maileys Cat turned in the fastest work for a quarter-mile Sunday at Lone Star Park during the under tack show for the Fasig Tipton Texas sale of 2-year-olds in training. Consigned by Weston & Weston, agent for Bill Weston, she covered the distance in :21.
Three horses stopped the clock in :10 to tie for the fastest work at an eighth of a mile. They were a Storm Passage -- Sweep and Roll colt named Righteous Brother, consigned by Robert Brewer, agent; a Siphon -- Bea Silver filly, consigned by Leprechaun Racing, agent; and an Early Flyer -- Fancy Forbes colt named Ferdinand's Flyer, consigned by Cashmark Farm, agent.
The sale will be Tuesday at Lone Star, beginning at 10 a.m. (CDT).
