Claiborne to Sponsor HRTV's Coverage of Florida, Arkansas Derbys

The Hancock family's Claiborne Farm will be the presenting sponsor for HorseRacing TV’s coverage of two important Kentucky Derby preps--the Florida Derby (gr. I) and Arkansas Derby (gr. II).
 
The Florida Derby, a major stepping stone for recent Kentucky Derby (gr. I) winners Barbaro and Monarchos  , will be contested at Gulfstream Park March 31. The Arkansas Derby, the main prep for 2004 Derby winner Smarty Jones, will be held at Oaklawn Park April 14. Both the Florida Derby and the Arkansas Derby will test 3-year-olds at 1 1/8 miles.
