HRTV to Broadcast U.S. Content in Great Britain, Ireland

HRTV has reached an agreement with Racing World, a television and wagering rights-holder in the British and Irish markets, to provide coverage of premier United States-based racetracks into homes in the United Kingdom and Ireland beginning March 28.

HRTV will be broadcast on Racing World five days a week, Wednesdays through Sunday, from 1 to 8 p.m. Eastern time (U.S.) on Sky Channel 443.

A joint venture between Magna Entertainment Corp., Churchill Downs Inc., and Racing UK, HRTV will bring its ever-growing racetrack line-up into Great Britain and Ireland. HRTV currently airs the top winter race meets--Gulfstream Park, Santa Anita Park, and Oaklawn Park--and recently added Churchill Downs, whose spring meet begins April 28.

CDI and MEC recently inked a deal in which CDI acquired 50% of HRTV.
