Millionaire Del Mar Show, a winner all eight years he raced, has been retired to stud at Dave Ferguson's Diamond F Ranch near Grass Valley, Calif.
Campaigned as a homebred by the Allen E. Paulson Living Trust, Del Mar Show made all but two of his 47 starts on grass. He won six stakes, five of which were graded, including the Hialeah Turf Cup Handicap (gr. IIT) and the Bernard Baruch Handicap (gr. IIT) at Saratoga. Trained most of his career by Bill Mott, he retired with 13 wins and earnings of $1,032,400.
A 10-year-old son of Theatrical, Del Mar Show is a half-brother to stakes winner Adel and out of the stakes-winning Foolish Pleasure mare Prankstress. Owned by Grant Truman, he will stand for $2,500.
