Menifee Filly Leads Ocala 2-Year-Old Preview Session

A filly by Menifee consigned by O & H Bloodstock (Terry Oliver and Bo Hunt) zipped an eighth in :10 flat to post the fastest time at the distance at the second session of the Under Tack Preview Sunday for the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company’s 2007 March Sale of Selected 2-Year-Olds in Training.

The chestnut filly is out of Galleon of Gold, by Gone West  , a half sister to stakes winner Holzmeister. The time was co-fastest of the entire Preview.

Three horses shared honors for the day and the preview's overall fastest quarter mile breeze, getting the distance in :21 1/5.
-- A chestnut colt by Forest Wildcat out of Whattacapote, by Capote, consigned by Eisaman Equine, is a half sister to graded stakes winner Here’s Zealous.
-- A dark bay or brown colt by Tale of the Cat  , out of stakes placed Best Mate, by Woodman, consigned by agent Solitary Oak, Inc., is a half sister to graded stakes winner Best Pal.
-- A bay colt by Wiseman’s Ferry out of stakes placed Elmira Gulch, by Gulch  , consigned by agent Niall Brennan Stables.

Horsemen can watch many of the March Sale horses again next week in the Under Tack Show set for March 23-24, beginning each day at 9 a.m.

The March Sale is scheduled for 11 a.m. on March 27-28, a day after the Adena Springs Sale.
