Whatdreamsrmadeof Retired After Injury in Fair Grounds Oaks Casa Farms I LLC’s Whatdreamsrmadeof, who ran the best race of her life when finishing third in the Fair Grounds Oaks (gr. II) on March 10 as a 16-1 longshot, has been retired. “She fractured a sesamoid in that race and has been retired,” trainer Tom Amoss said. “She’ll become a broodmare now, but that was a very good race for her (Saturday). That was a grade I quality field, a stronger field than either of the last two Fair Grounds Oaks, and both of those Fair Grounds Oaks winners went on to win the Kentucky Oaks.” Mistical Plan won the 1 1/16-mile race with Whatdreamsrmadeof finishing 6 1/2 length behind after looming as a threat on the turn for home. Whatdreamsrmadeof also ran fourth in Fair Grounds' Tiffany Lass in January and finished second as a 2-year-old last September in Turfway Park's Kentucky Cup Juvenile Fillies. She began her career in the stable of Michael Maker. In a seven-race career, Whatdreamsrmadeof had two victories, three seconds and one third with earnings of $137,080.
