A pair of emotional stories involving two popular figures in Southern California Thoroughbred racing circles will be the featured segments when HorseRacing TV's new show, "Inside Information," airs this Sunday, March 18 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.

Hosted by Kurt Hoover, "Inside Information" is a 30-minute news magazine show that debuted on HRTV March 4. The show, which airs every other Sunday, is designed to profile prominent individuals and intriguing stories in the Thoroughbred world.

This week's edition will feature a look at Santa Anita publicity director Mike Willman's life-changing win as an owner of McCann's Mojave. It will also chronicle the brave fight against cancer by longtime Southern Cal trainer Barry Abrams.

Willman admits he has had his share of financial woes in recent years due to a very difficult divorce and battle to retain custody of his two young sons, but his situation was significantly helped by McCann's Mojave's 33-1 upset win in the $1 million Sunshine Millions Classic at Gulfstream Park in late January.

"I had to borrow a lot of money to hold my position," Willman told HRTV's feature producer Steve Kurland. "(McCann 's Mojave) winning that race competely stabilized my life."

Abrams, a longtime horseman, is recovering from treatment for Stage 4 throat cancer. In speaking with HRTV producer and reporter Carolyn Conley for the segment, Abrams credits his tremendous family support and his love and passion for training horses for aiding in his recovery.
