Tarabilla Farms' Desert Code is the 117-pound highweight for the $100,000 Baldwin Stakes (gr. IIIT) at 6 1/2 furlongs on turf for 3-year-olds.
The 40th running of the Baldwin attracted only five entrants and will go as the second race on a 10-race program. The Baldwin is the supporting feature to Saturday's $300,000 Santa Margarita Invitational Handicap (gr. I).
A Kentucky-bred son of
E Dubai who is trained by David Hofmans, Desert Code has won two of five starts including an impressive allowance race victory in his last start and first over Santa Anita’s hillside turf course.
