Turfway Park has increased purses for the second time during its winter/spring meet.

Association purses at the Northern Kentucky racetrack were increased 10% effective March 2 because of the weather-related cancellation of races in February that aren't expected to be recheduled, racing secretary Rick Leigh said. Kentucky Thoroughbred Development Fund purse contributions remain unchanged.

In mid-February, Turfway increased association purses 5% and KTDF purses 20%, also due to cancellations. KTDF money is used for maiden special weight and allowance events as well as stakes, though stakes weren't affected by the increase.
