Storm Cat, a 24-year-old son of Storm Bird, has impregnated six of his first seven mares bred this year. It's his best start ever, according to Ric Waldman of Overbrook Farm, where Storm Cat stands.

Storm Cat, who is out of the Secretariat mare Terlingua, has sired 150 stakes winners and twice has topped the year-end sires list by progeny earnings. His fee at  the Young family's Overbrook Farm near Lexington is $500,000.
