Two veteran horsemen and a former chief operation officer of Magna Entertainment have launched a full-service sales agency in Kentucky that will offer select consignments to major public auctions. Crossroads Sales will offer their initial consignments this year at the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky July and Keeneland September yearling sales.
Husband and wife team Greg and Beth Burchell are industry veterans, having more than 45 years of combined experience, including key roles at leading operations, led by Taylor Made Sales and Adena Springs South.
“The foundation of our operation is excellent horsemanship, but we back that up with honesty and a passion for customer service,” said Greg Burchell, who is managing partner along with his wife. “Our goal is to treat our sellers and buyers as we would like to be treated.”
Don Amos, recently retired Chief Operating Officer of Magna Entertainment and a successful breeder and owner for many years, will also be active in the agency as a partner and advisor. “Don immediately provides a very high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and customer service, and is a vital asset to our company,” said Greg Burchell.
“I want to be able to know all our horses, all of our clients, and all of our buyers,” said Beth Burchell. “We intend to offer quality in every area, and to do that we need to work one-on-one, putting relationships and service first.”
