Carl Nafzger, who had been considering the Hutcheson Stakes (gr. II) for 2-year-old champ Street Sense, says the colt is not ready for a hard sprint and will make his debut in either the Tampa Bay Derby Derby (gr. III) or Rushaway Stakes before having his final Derby prep in the Toyoya Blue Grass Stakes (gr. I).

"He's right on schedule, he's doing good, and he's sound," Nafzger said. "We just didn't want to have to give him a tough race first time out. He'll work this weekend and we'll decide whether to go against a good horse in Any Given Saturday at Tampa or point for the Rushaway."

The 7 1/2-furlong Hutcheson will be run at Gulfstream Park March 3. The Tampa Bay Derby, at 1 1/16 miles, is set for March 17 and the Rushaway, also at 1 1/16 miles, is March 24.
