Millionaire Island Fashion, a three-time grade I winner, has been retired from racing and is booked to Storm Cat.

A homebred for Jeff Nielsen's Everest Stables and sired by Nielsen's stallion, Petionville  , Island Fashion was a lengthy winner of several stakes. She won the Alabama Stakes (gr. I) by six lengths at Saratoga, the La Brea Stakes (gr. I) by six lengths at Santa Anita, and the Delaware Oaks (gr. III) by 6 1/2 lengths. Her other added-money wins came in the Santa Monica (gr. I) and Lady's Secret Breeders' Cup (gr. II) Handicaps, plus the WinStar/Sunland Park Oaks.

Following consecutive wins in the La Brea and Santa Monica, Island Fashion faced males in the 2004 Santa Anita Handicap (gr. I) and finished second to Southern Image. She placed in seven other stakes, all graded, including the Vanity Invitational Handicap (gr. I) and consecutive runnings of the John C. Mabee Handicap (gr. IT).

Island Fashion, who is out of the stakes-winning A Native Danzig mare Danzigs Fashion, retired with six wins from 30 races and earnings of $2,037,970. She was trained most of her career by Marco Polanco, but Julio Canani and his son, Nick, and Barclay Tagg also took turns.

Island Fashion resides at Pope McLean's Crestwood Farm near Lexington, where Petionville stands.
