A P Valentine Set To Arrive At Churchill Downs

A P Valentine, owned in part by University of Louisville basketball coach Rick Pitino, will arrive at Churchill Downs around 1 p.m. today, and be placed in barn 36.
The son of A. P. Indy, conditioned by two-time Kentucky Derby winning trainer Nick Zito, is coming off a fifth place finish in the Toyota Blue Grass Stakes (gr. I) at Keeneland on Saturday. The bay colt has a record of 3-0-2 in seven starts including a win in last year in the Champagne Stakes (gr. I) at Belmont over likely Derby favorite Point Given.
A P Valentine, along with 11 other Zito-trained horses, will leave Keeneland around 11: 30 a.m. and will likely unload near barn 42.
