The first reported foal by grade I winner Castledaleis a filly foaled Feb. 8 at Pope McLean's Crestwood Farm near Lexington. Bred by McLean and his two sons, the filly is the first offspring from the General Royal mare Southern Breeze, who is a half-sister to two stakes-placed runners, including the dam of Pickapocket.

A grade I winner on dirt and turf, Castledale (Peintre Celebre--Louju, by Silver Hawk) stands at Crestwood. His fee is $6,000.
