A winter storm has led to cancellation of racing at tracks from the Ohio Valley to New York.

New York's Aqueduct cancelled live and simulcast wagering for Wednesday. Live racing is scheduled to resume on Thursday at 12:30 pm, while Wednesday’s nine-race card is rescheduled to Friday.

Beulah Park in Ohio and Penn National in Pennsylvania canceled their live racing programs for Tuesday and Wednesday, Feb. 13-14.

Meanwhile, Laurel Park officials announced that Wednesday's live racing will be cancelled due to a wintry mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain that hit the Baltimore-Washington region Tuesday morning and is expected to continue through Wednesday evening. It is the first weather-related cancellation at the central Maryland track since Feb 24, 2005.

Entries for the Saturday, Feb. 17 card that features the $300,000 Barbara Fritchie Breeders’ Cup Handicap (gr. II) and the $115,000 John B. Campbell Handicap will be taken by the Laurel Park racing office Wednesday afternoon as scheduled. Four of the nine races on the cancelled card will be re-carded for Saturday’s 10-race program.

Live racing is expected to resume Thursday, Feb. 15.
