(Edited press release)
Legacy Bloodstock announced that Mark Toothaker joined the company as a new partner, effective Jan. 1.
“With Mark on our team, we’re already gaining momentum moving forward with 2007,” said Tommy Eastham, founder of Legacy Bloodstock. “At the Keeneland January Sale, we sold the sale topping yearling, outsold the Keeneland sale average by 25%, and were a top 5 consignor for three out of four sessions sold.”
Toothaker has more than 20 years experience in the Thoroughbred industry and has worked for trainers Joe Cantey, D. Wayne Lukas, and Gerald Romero. He also owned and managed Tooth-Acres Farm in Lavaca, Ark. Recently, Toothaker managed Liberty Farm and has been involved in several pinhooking ventures.
“His work in the Thoroughbred industry has been very professional and of the highest caliber,” said Eastham. “The services Mark will provide are going to bolster this company and what it represents. We are very fortunate to have him on our team.”
Legacy Bloodstock was founded in 2004 to be a consignor to Thoroughbred sales.
