Due to frigid temperatures, Turfway Park canceled live racing Thursday evening after completing the first two races on the nine-race card.
According to Sherry Pinson, the track's communications director, management and jockeys agreed to suspend the remainder of the live program because temperatures made conditions unsuitable for racing.
The Florence, Ky., facility remained open for simulcasting and is expected to resume racing on Friday, with first post at 5:30 p.m.
