Grade II winner Orville N Wilbur's will enter stud at Dr. Lauren Kelso Canady's Sterlingbrook Farm near Canandaigua, N.Y. Once owned by the late Prince Ahmed Salman's The Thoroughbred Corp. Orville N Wilbur's will stand privately to approved mares.

As a 2-year-old at Hollywood Park in 1997, Orville N Wilbur's recorded the two highest Beyer Speed Figures for his age that year. Those 108 Beyers came off a six-furlong win in 1:08.31 and a seven-furlong score in 1:21.10.

Orville N Wilbur's scored his big win in the 1998 San Rafael Stakes (gr. II) and made just two more starts that year. He raced sparingly over the next three years, then missed two years of racing before coming back to run twice in 2004.

A son of Out of Place, Orville N. Wilbur's ended his racing career with four wins from 16 starts at earnings of $327,250. He is out of the winning Beau's Eagle mare Squalling, who is a full or half-sister to six stakes winners, including stallions Prized and Exploit. This will be Orville N Wilbur's first year at stud.
