Glen Riddle Farm's Man o' War posted his eighth consecutive victory since losing the only race of his career when he won the Dwyer Stakes at Aqueduct by 1 1/2 lengths on July 10, 1920. Sent off at 1-5 odds, the son of Fair Play ran 1 1/8 miles in 1:49 1/5. The winner of 20 of 21 career starts, Man o' War was first on The Blood-Horse's "Top 100 Racehorses of the 20th Century."
