Oklahoma stallion Expense Account died Jan. 25 in a paddock accident at Joyce Tackett's B-T Ranch near Collinsville, Okla. The 19-year-old son of Private Account sired 10 runners that won or placed in stakes.

Bred in Virginia by Bertram and Diana Firestone, Expense Account initially raced for Bertram Firestone, winning his first two starts for him, but failing to win after that.

Expense Account sired stakes winners Solingen, Red Hawkeye, Social Express, Lumbre, and Mild Expense. Three other runners placed in Oklahoma Classics events.

Expense Account was a half-brother to grade II winner Chief Honcho and to the dam of grade II winner American Chance. His dam, graded winner Expressive Dance (by Riva Ridge), was a half-sister to Bertram Firestone's grade I winner General Assembly.
