Gulfstream Park announced Jan. 26 that jockey Rene Douglas is once again allowed to ride at the south Florida track.

Douglas had been ruled off the grounds at Calder Race Course Dec. 15 and was prohibited from riding at any track owned by Magna Entertainment Corp. during the length of an investigation conducted by the Thoroughbred Racing and Protective Bureau.

In a statement released by the track, Bill Murphy, Gulfstream's president and general manager, said: “Based upon additional information provided to Gulfstream Park by the TRPB regarding its continued investigation of jockey Rene Douglas, we have determined that it is appropriate at this time to grant Mr. Douglas racing privileges at our facility.”
