Edited press release

Frank Stronach’s Adena Springs, the 2006 Eclipse Award winner as leading breeder, has begun relocating mares to its newly developed 2,000-acre operation near Paris, Ky.

The relocation to the Paris facility coincides with the naming of Steven Nicholson as general manager of Adena Springs Kentucky. The role of Dr. George Mundy will shift to stallion administrator.

“This is just the first phase of relocating our bloodstock,” Stronach said. “Mares will continue to be transferred to our Paris facility during the course of the current breeding season and the stallions will follow once this season concludes.”

Adena Springs is currently located near Midway, Ky.

The Paris facility will feature seven new 28-stall broodmare barns, a 14-stall stallion barn contiguous to an office, and a state-of-the-art employee village with 10 new homes, a recreational facility, and a built-in pool. Plans for additional construction and development are ongoing.
