Canadian champion Saoirse has arrived at David and Ginger Mullins' Doninga Farm near Lexington following her retirement from racing. The 5-year-old mare ran unplaced in an allowance race at Keeneland on April 13.

Sired by Cure the Blues, Saoirse initially raced for her breeder, Steve Stavro's Knob Hill Stable. She was purchased privately by the Mullinses in partnership with William Butler and William Steiden in September of 2000. Saoirse, who won four stakes last year for Knob Hill, earned a Sovereign Award as Canada's best older female of 2000.

Saoirse, who was produced from Canadian sprint champion Apelia (by Cool Victor), was retired with eight wins from 18 starts and earnings of $502,721.
