English Champion North Light's First Foal

The first foal sired by English champion North Lightwas born Jan. 10 at Darby Dan Farm near Lexington. The newborn filly is out of the Selkirk mare Highland Diva, an Irish-bred who is a full sister to stakes winner Scottish Stage.

North Light (Danehill--Sought Out, by Rainbow Quest) won the 2004 Vodafone Epsom Derby (Eng-I) the year he was champion. He stands at Frank Stronach's Adena Springs Kentucky near Midway. His 2007 fee is $30,000.
