Pleasant Tap's Son Nudge to Upland Spring

Nudge, a winning son of Pleasant Tap, will stand at Upland Spring Farm near Unionville, Pa. Owned by Broadwall Farm, he will stand for $2,000.

A $315,000 Keeneland September yearling, Nudge won at Belmont Park and Aqueduct as a 3-year-old. He retired with eight wins or placings and earnings of $87,384.

Twelve-year-old Nudge is out of the stakes-winning Mr. Leader mare Melo Melody, who is a half-sister to stakes winners Aironlass, Classic Go Go, and Premium Win. The last-named produced grade I winners Tight Spot (a champion) and Valiant Nature. One of Premium Win's descendants is 2006 grade I winner Premium Tap (by Pleasant Tap).
