Breeders' Cup Limited will honor the victorious breeders of the 2006 Breeders' Cup World Championships at the 13th annual Breeders' Cup Limited dinner on Saturday, Jan. 6 at 6:30 p.m., in the Keeneland Club at Keeneland Race Course in Lexington. John Asher will serve as master of ceremonies.
As a part of the presentation, breeders of the eight Breeders' Cup champions from this year’s event at Churchill Downs and the Breeders’ Cup Grand National Steeplechase at Far Hills, N.J., will each receive a miniature Ecorche trophy.
The winning breeders (and the respective state/country where the winner was bred) to be honored for their victories, all of which are grade I races, are as follows: Frank C. Calabrese for Dreaming of Anna (KY), Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies; James Tafel for Street Sense (KY), Bessemer Trust Breeders’ Cup Juvenile; Stanley Estate and Stud Co., for Ouija Board (GB), Emirates Airline Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf; Fast Lane Farms, Carleton Block and Harry Forman for Thor’s Echo (CA.), TVG Breeders' Cup Sprint; Live Oak Stud for Miesque’s Approval (FL), NetJets Breeders’ Cup Mile; Trudy McCaffery and John Toffan for Round Pond (KY), Emirates Airline Breeders’ Cup Distaff; Ballylinch Stud for Red Rocks (IRE), John Deere Breeders’ Cup Turf; Haras Clausan for Invasor (ARG), Breeders’ Cup Classic – Powered by Dodge; and Richard Fox, Nathan Fox and Richard Kaster for McDynamo (KY), Breeders’ Cup Grand National Steeplechase.
