Collins Named to Board of Three Chimneys

Three Chimneys owner Robert N. Clay announced Dec. 21 that International bloodstock adviser Lincoln Collins has been named to the board of Three Chimneys, effective Jan. 1.

"We are extremely excited to have Lincoln join our team as a director. He is an astute and insightful observer of the international Thoroughbred business," said Clay. "We will rely on his expertise and business acumen to assist us strategically. I am certain that our clients will be the ultimate beneficiaries of this relationship."

Collins is president of Kern Thoroughbreds, which he founded 17 years ago. Kern represents clients from more than 20 countries.

"I have great respect for Robert and Case Clay, and this is an opportunity for me to advise one of the leading Thoroughbred nurseries in the world. I look forward to working with the entire Three Chimneys team to help make their customers' bloodstock experience satisfying, exciting, and successful," said Collins.

In 2005 and 2006, Collins was the racing stable adviser for seven grade I or grade II stakes winners, including Commentator, Star Parade, Kings Drama, Noble Stella, Simonas, Sir Shackleton, and Sun King. He was also instrumental in the purchase of 2006 grade I  winner Red Evie and graded stakes winners Rising Cross, Foxysox, Genre, and Eccentric.

A native of England, Collins is the United States representative for Tattersalls. He serves on the Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders' Sales Integrity Task Force and SITF Implementation Committee, and is also a member of the Thoroughbred Club of America and The Saratoga Reading Rooms. Collins resides in Versailles, Ky., with his wife, Tamera, and their daughter, Amelia.
