(from Tampa Bay Downs release)
Tampa Bay Downs will reduce take-out of several wagering categories starting on its opening day card Saturday, Peter Berube, the track's vice president and general manager announced.

Take-out on payoffs for the daily double and quinellas will drop from 20% to 19%, and pick threes take a sizable reduction from 25% to 21.5%.

"In order to increase handle and interest in particular pools, for the fourth straight year we have continued with our policy of reducing take-outs on select wagers," said Berube.

Win, place, and show take-out remains at 18%, and the exacta take-out holds at 21.5%.

The take-out on trifecta and superfectas stays at 25.9%.

Pick Four take-out also remains unchanged at 25%.
