Graded stakes winner Andromeda's Hero has arrived for stallion duty at Nathan Fox's Richland Hills near Midway, Ky., where he will stand for $12,500.

As a 3-year-old last year, Andromeda's Hero won the Fred W. Hooper Handicap (gr. III) and Sam F. Davis Stakes, and ran second behind Afleet Alex in the Belmont Stakes (gr. I). This year, he placed in three grade I stakes, including the Jockey Club Gold Cup to Bernardini and the Suburban Handicap to Invasor.

Bred in Kentucky by Barnett Enterprises, Andromeda's Hero retired with 14 wins and placings from 24 races and earnings of $831,241 for Robert V. LaPenta. Fox bought the breeding rights in Andromeda's Hero this fall.

Andromeda's Hero, a son of Fusaichi Pegasus   and full brother to stakes winner Superfly, is out of the winning Storm Bird mare Marozia.
