The catalog for the 2007 Keeneland January sale contains a record number of horses and will last a day longer than this year's edition.
The auction will stretch over eight days, Jan. 8-15, and the four books that hold the catalog pages will have 2,933 hips within them.
The number cataloged is an increase of 17% from this year, which itself was a record 2,508 head, up 21% from the previous high of 2,073 in 2005.
At the sale earlier this year, 1,624 lots were sold for $72,174,900, an average of $44,443.
