Millionaire Super Frolic has been retired to stud duty at Ro Parra's Millennium Farms Kentucky near Lexington. The 6-year-old son of
Pine Bluff will stand for $5,000.
Super Frolic won or placed in 15 stakes. He started his career winning his first three starts, including the Foolish Pleasure Stakes for 2-year-olds. His four other stakes wins included a score in the Hawthorne Gold Cup Handicap (gr. II).
Millennium acquired Super Frolic in the middle of 2005 and raced him exclusively in stakes. He won the Hawthorne Gold Cup two races after the purchase and then ran fourth in Saint Liam's Breeders' Cup Classic - Powered by Dodge (gr. I), beaten 2 3/4 lengths. This year, Super Frolic placed in the Pacific Classic (gr. I), Hollywood Gold Cup (gr. I), and Californian (gr. I) Stakes.
Bred in Kentucky by Cherokee Farms, Super Frolic retired with 11 wins from 40 races and earnings of $1,391,334. He is a half-brother to stakes winner Stormy Frolic and three stakes-placed runners and is out of the stakes-winning Mt. Livermore mare Lindsay Frolic. Second dam is Test Stakes (gr. II) winner and Florida blue hen mare Cherokee Frolic.
