American Runners Among Second Group of Vodafone Derby Entries The last American-trained runner in the Vodafone Derby was Wolf Prince, saddled by Michael Dickinson, who finished eighth in 1993. The previous American challenger was Slewpy, who came 18th in 1983.Other additional entries for the £1 million premier classic are the unraced Henry Cecil-trained Arabie. Godolphin's pair Celtic Silence and Atlantis Prince, who both showed high-class juvenile form, Lingfield maiden winner Asian Heights, trained by Geoff Wragg, Gryffindor, a wide-margin winner at Doncaster's Lincoln meeting for Brian Meehan, and Galway maiden winner Cashel Bay, who represents Co Meath permit holder Luke Comer.
