Irish champion Rossini, a half-brother to successful sire Elusive Quality  , will stand in 2007 at Michele Rodriguez' Elite Thoroughbreds near Folsom, La. His fee will be $4,500.

A 9-year-old son of Miswaki, Rossini was a French group II winner at 2 and Ireland's champion 3-year-old male sprinter. Retired to stud in Ireland, Rossini was represented by 16 2-year-old winners from his first crop.

Rossini, who is out of the Hero's Honor mare Touch of Greatness, has sired English group winners Golden Legacy and Tournedos, plus Irish stakes winner Joiconda. His stakes-placed runners include Guillaume Tell, who was group-placed in France and graded stakes-placed at Keeneland and Churchill Downs.

Rossini is from the same Mr. Prospector sire line responsible for Elusive Quality, who was North America's leading sire in 2004. Rossini stood the past two breeding seasons at Darley at Jonabell near Lexington for $10,000 each year.
