'Thoroughbred Classics' Kicks Off With Blue Grass

Thoroughbred Classics Presented by the NTRA will feature 17 program this year, with the first segment focused on the Triple Crown. Thoroughbred Classics will debut Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. (EDT) on ESPN Classic with a retrospective on this Saturday's Blue Grass Stakes at Keeneland.

Hosted by Jim McKay and Jack Whitaker, the half-hour programs will feature performers and personalities from the country's most storied races. Each show will reflect on the race's history and preview its 2001 edition.

The spring schedule for Thoroughbred Classics is as follows (all times are Eastern):
