For the first time in his 20-year career, trainer Mike Trombetta saddled three winners Wednesday at Laurel Park.

The Baltimore native scored with Moving On the Wind ($4-first), Gi's Second Chance ($18.40-fifth) and Boodeville ($11.40-eighth) reached the Laurel Park winners' circle.

"I have been able to win two on several occasions but the third one is always tough," said Trombetta, who won his first career race in 1986. "To have the opportunity to go three-for-three is cool."

The 40-year-old conditioner ranks second in the fall meet standings with 17 victories from just 45 starters. Overall he is winning at a 29% clip at Laurel and Pimlico this year (44-of-151) and trails only Scott Lake and Dale Capuano at the major Maryland tracks.
