Irish freshman stallion Invincible Spirit has tied the record for 2-year-old winners established by Florida stallion End Sweep in 1998 and equaled by Irish stallion Fasliyev in 2003. All that success has caused the Irish National Stud to boost Invincible Spirit's fee to 35,000 euros from 10,000 euros.
A 9-year-old son of Green Desert, Invincible Spirit is represented by 34 juvenile winners among the 123 foals and more than 60 starters from that initial crop. They include four stakes winners, led by English group II winner Conquest and French group II winner Captain Marvelous, and three stakes-placed runners, including French group-placed Invincible Force.
Invincible Spirit, who is out of Kris mare Rafha, brought plenty to the table as a stallion. He not only is by one of Europe's top stallions, but he is an English group I winner and Irish sprint champion. Invincible Spirit, whose big win came in the Stanley Leisure Sprint Cup (Eng-I), won seven of 17 races and earned $374,711.
