Mr. Greeley's Fee More Than Doubled

Gainesway Farm stallion Mr. Greeley, who enjoyed a fine year at this year's major yearling sales, will stand in 2007 for $75,000, up from $35,000 in 2006. The 14-year-old son of
Gone West averaged $486,250 at the Saratoga sale and was represented by a $5.7 million colt at the Keeneland September sale. He has progeny earnings of $4.1 million this year.
"Mr. Greeley's outstanding progeny performances on the racetrack and his strong market appeal have elevated him to a marquee stallion status," said Gainesway president Antony Beck. "He has proved to be a globally influential sire."
Located near Lexington, Gainesway announced
Afleet Alex's fee will remain at $40,000 and that
Cozzene's fee has dropped to $35,000 from $40,000. Afleet Alex will be standing his second season.
Cozzene, a 26-year-old son of Caro, proved fit enough to cover 53 mares last breeding season.
