Hoping to build on the momentum of a record-breaking September yearling sale and fall race meeting, Keeneland kicks off its 63rd annual November breeding stock sale in Lexington on Monday, two days after the Breeders' Cup World Championships at Churchill Downs.

Keeneland has cataloged 5,026 horses for the 14-day auction. Sessions begin at 10:00 a.m. EDT.

Coverage of the first two days of the sale will be broadcast live in the United States by HorseRacing TV (HRTV). Keeneland also will provide live coverage of the entire sale on its website at www.keeneland.com, courtesy of Post Time Technologies.

The total number cataloged for November 2006 exceeds last year by 549 horses. Scheduled to be offered are 2,495 broodmares, 2,106 weanlings, 184 broodmare prospects, 155 racing or broodmare prospects, 36 stallion prospects, 25 racing or stallion prospects, 19 racing prospects, and six stallions. Also cataloged is a season to Afleet Alex, with proceeds of its sale to benefit the charity "Alex's Lemonade Stand."

"As always, our November catalog offers an extensive number of stakes producers and stakes-winning fillies and mares, as well as weanlings by some of the hottest young sires around."
