Grade I Winner Scorpion's First Winner

Scorpion, a grade I winner, was represented by his first winner when his daughter, Duchess of Stanco, won Oct. 26 at Aqueduct in her debut. Bred in Kentucky by Dr. Ruben Vallejo, Duchess of Stanco won at seven furlongs in 1:26.79 for owner Jeff Singer.

Winner of the Jim Dandy Stakes (gr. I), Scorpion (Seattle Slew--Petiteness, by Chief's Crown) stands at Pinecrest Stables (Home of Santa Cruz Ranch) near Ocala, Fla. His fee was private in 2006.
