One area where there are certainly no guarantees is the weather. But, should the 10-day forecast hold true, it will be a nice Breeders' Cup day Nov. 4 in Louisville, Ky.

The National Weather Service today posted a forecast for bright sunny skies and a high of 59. There is a 20% chance for precipitation in the Louisville area.

Kentucky has seen above average rainfall recently but Breeders' Cup week shows no more than a 30% chance any day leading up to the big event.

The last time the Breeders' Cup was run in Louisville it was 55 degrees on Nov. 4, 2000.

The two coldest Breeders' Cup days were 1990 at Belmont Park in New York and 1991 at Churchill Downs. It was 43 both those years.

The hottest day was 2003 at Santa Anita in Southern California, when the temperature was 99.
