Empire Maker, whose first foals are yearlings, will stand for $100,000 in 2007, the same fee he commanded in his first three years.
The 6-year-old son of Unbridled stands at Khalid Abdullah's Juddmonte Farms near Lexington. He won the Belmont Stakes (gr. I) in 2003, when he also won two other grade I events and finished second in the Kentucky Derby (gr. I).
Empire Maker's first yearlings sold this year and a total of 32 averaged $379,125, with the colts and fillies nearly averaging the same.
Also at Juddmonte,
Aptitude will stand for $20,000 and
Mizzen Mast for $15,000, the same fees they stood for this year.
Distant View has been pensioned, a Juddmonte release said, based on veterinary advice. The 15-year-old son of Mr. Prospector has been represented by 16 stakes winners.
