Multiple grade I winner and millionaire Aragorn, who has won four consecutive graded stakes, will enter stud in 2007 at William S. Farish's Lane's End Farm near Versailles, Ky.

Bred and raced by Belinda and Roy Strudwick's Ballygallon Stud, Irish-bred Aragorn began his current win streak in the Shoemaker Breeders' Cup Mile Stakes (gr. IT) in May at Hollywood Park, where he just missed the course and stakes record in a 1:32.95 effort. At Del Mar, he set a course record of 1:44.79 for 1 1/8 miles in the Eddie Read Handicap (gr. IT) while winning by four lengths.

In his next start for trainer Neil Drysdale, Aragorn powered his way to a victory in the mile Del Mar Breeders' Cup Handicap (gr. IIT) and then established himself at the top of the North American mile division with a score in 1:32.87 in the Oct. 7 Oak Tree Breeders' Cup Mile Stakes (gr. IIT).

"Since his arrival from Ireland, he has stamped himself as the dominant miler in the U.S." Farish said. "Not since Kingmambo have I been so impressed with a miler with such ability, pedigree, and conformation. He has all the makings of a top sire."

A son of Giant's Causeway  , Aragorn is out of the Mr. Prospector mare Onaga, who was sold for $1.7 million at the 1999 Keeneland November breeding stock sale while in foal to Seattle Slew. This is the family of champions One Cool Cat, Valoris II, and State Shinto.

Aragorn, who has won six of 13 starts in North America and Europe and earned $1,095,325, will make his final appearance in the Nov. 4 NetJets Breeders' Cup Mile (gr. IT) before being retired to Lane's End. A stud fee will be announced later.
