Real Quiet to New Freedom in Pennsylvania
Real Quiet, the 1998 Kentucky Derby (gr. I) winner and 3-year-old champion male, will stand in 2007 at Dr. William Solomon's Pin Oak Lane Farm near New Freedom, Pa.Real Quiet is having his best year yet, with four graded stakes winners and a second-place ranking on the Pennsylvania sire list. His runners have earned more than $2.6 million this year.Two of his daughters, Pussycat Doll and Wonder Lady Anne L, are both grade I winners, and another daughter, Real Candy, is a Canadian graded winner. A son, Midnight Lute, captured the Oct. 13 Perryville Stakes (gr. III) at Keeneland for his third win in four starts.Pussycat Doll, who won last year's La Brea Stakes (gr. I), captured the Humana Distaff Handicap (gr. I) at Churchill Downs in May. Wonder Lady Anne L, a grade II winner in 2005, took the Coaching Club American Oaks (gr. I) at Belmont Park in July.Real Quiet (Quiet American--Really Blue, by Believe It) also won the Preakness Stakes (gr. I) and was beaten a nose in the Belmont Stakes (gr. I). He was a grade I winner at ages two and four.Real Quiet, who has sired 10 stakes winners, will stand in 2007 for $5,000, down from the $6,500 that he stood in 2006 at Regal Heir Farms near Grantville, Pa.
