Teofilo prevailed again in an epic duel with his adversary Holy Roman Emperor in the Darley Dewhurst Stakes (Eng-I) at Newmarket on Saturday.

Jim Bolger's colt, named for Olympic boxing legend Teofilo Stevenson, had won the duo's first meeting in the Laing O'Rourke National Stakes (Ire-I) by 1¼ lengths. The son of Galileo had to work much harder this time around, gutting out a head victory over his old nemesis. Strategic Prince finished third, 2½ lengths back.

Teofilo remains undefeated in five career starts.
